A Tour of Zinc in Architecture: Two Architects, Two Countries, Endless Inspiration

Google's Headquarters, New York

Google's Headquarters, New York

St. John's Terminal, designed by COOKFOX Architects, is a remarkable example of sustainable architecture in New York City. The building’s design emphasizes the integration of natural elements with modern urban living, featuring extensive green spaces and a focus on energy efficiency.

The facade, clad in QUARTZ-ZINC by VMZINC, enhances the building’s aesthetic appeal while ensuring durability and resilience. The perforated zinc panels used in the project allow for a dynamic play of light and shadow, creating a visually captivating effect while maintaining functionality.

King’s College School Sports Pavilion, designed by David Morley Architects, is a standout example of contemporary design blending functionality and elegance. The pavilion's sleek, modern facade is clad in VMZINC QUARTZ-ZINC, chosen for its durability and natural aesthetic. The architects utilized the VMZINC Standing Seam system, which allows for smooth, continuous zinc panels to wrap the building, creating a seamless look that enhances both performance and visual appeal.
